Expressive Contemporary Art

A constant longing for wild and windy mountains, stormy seas and wide open space leads me to a daily dance with paint…..

….exploring memories of favourite places and elemental experiences through the language of colour, contrast and texture.

There’s so much more to our inner experience of being in the ‘right’ place than what we see.

My paintings are often built of many layers, adding and removing paint, ink and other media with different tools.

I often explore colour first with no particular outcome in mind except to find the mood I’m looking for. Only then do I start to see where its taking me.

These paintings evoke feelings of comfort and calm, exhilaration or joy for moments of escape from life’s clutter.

August Exhibition

A Sense of Place

I am a member of Leamington Studio Artists (LSA) who have two galleries in the town and my exhibition - A Sense of Place - was held at East lodge, Jephson Gardens between 2nd and 27th August.

It was very exciting to see my work curated and exhibited for the first time. Thank you to those who visited and particularly those who bought paintings. I will soon be opening a shop on the website for the remainder of the collection.
